As most of you by now, Dereck LeBlanc, a fellow cyclist, was hurt rather severely a few weeks ago on the BMX track. Thankfully is doing much better now... he is at home resting and will remain there for a while longer.
Our Club felt compelled to try and help out however we could as all of us were deeply affected by what happened to him...so we came up with the idea to host a fund raiser cross race! we can't make him heal faster but at least we can ease the stress of not being able to work for an extended period of time (with no worker's comp!)
so, this coming Tuesday September 30th we will hold the first cross of the season! format will be the same as usual, fun race with handicap system in place
COST : 10$ (minimum donation)...give more if you wish!
WHEN : Tuesday , September 30th at 6h30
WHERE : Rotary Park, Dieppe (building next to Velodrome)
WHO :Anyone with a moutain bike or a cross bike is welcome. A handicap system wil be in place
Note: 100% of the proceeds will go towward helping out Dereck!
